The transition into the holiday season brings cooler weather, darker skies, but most of all…tastier food. Now is the perfect time to concoct those snacks that bring out the spirit of the season while simultaneously satisfying all of your taste buds.
(Not So) “Fancy” Fall Toast:
I get very “fancy” with my toast during this time of the year. When fall comes around, I am sprinkling everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, with those special autumnal seasonings.
Ingredient Suggestions:
Your favorite bread: I have been obsessed with Dave’s Killer Bread for quite a while but any toast will do. I do suggest getting experimental with the fall offerings and trying it on different types of bread like pumpkin or apple bread.
Nut butter of choice: I am sadly allergic to nuts so I go for sunflower butter.
Bananas: The riper the better but any will do.
Apples
Honey
Cinnamon
Optional: I like to experiment and try this with the various fall seasonings that are offered during this time of the year. In the past, a pinch of cloves, all-spice, pumpkin spice seasonings, and even anise has worked wonders.
Ingredients:
2 Slices of bread
1 ½ Tablespoons of nut butter
½ of a sliced banana
3 apple slices cubed
Honey Drizzle
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Start with ½ teaspoons of an any optional seasonings
Instructions:
Gather all ingredients
Toast slices of bread to your liking
Spread the nut butter of choice on the slices of bread
Add the sliced up bananas and apples
Drizzle the preferred amount of honey on top
Add spices
Fun Fall-Shaped Sandwiches:

Okay so this one might be a little bit of a cheat because it’s not necessarily a “fall” treat. However, putting a spin on something is always a good time. What could be more whimsical than fun shaped food? This is such a simple way to make any snack more seasonal.
Ingredient suggestions:
Bread: I like to use the pepperidge farms very thin slices. This makes the whole process so much easier and adds to the cuteness of the snack.
Line the cookie cutter with a little mayo or butter to make cutting them out a little easier.
These sandwiches can be pretty much made with anything. I like to use simple ingredients for these tiny sandwiches because it makes cutting the shapes out a lot easier.
Ingredients:
Bread slices
Mayo
Turkey slices (I like to use honey roasted)
Cheese slices (I like to use
Any other condiments or toppings
Fall cookie cutters
Instructions:
Take the slices of bread and spread the mayo on both sides
Put the turkey slice on one slice of bread.
Put the cheese slice on the other slice of the bread.
Take a fun shape and cut out a sandwich!
I hope these snack ideas sound yummy and appealing to you! If you do try them, please let me know how they turned out!
Happy snacking!
